Dr. Laith Barsoom
MD, CCFP – Interventional Pain Management
Dr. Barsoom completed his medical training at the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned his Family Medicine certification, followed by a fellowship in Hospital Medicine at the University of Toronto. He further refined his expertise through specialized interventional pain management training at St. Catharines General Hospital. Currently, Dr. Barsoom holds an appointment as a Surgical Assist at Scarborough Health Network (SHN), where he provides support in orthopedic and trauma surgical procedures. In addition to his role at SHN, he serves as an Associate Interventional Pain Physician at the Toronto Headache and Pain Clinic.
Dr. Barsoom has over 13 years of experience in interventional pain management. His primary areas of interest include chronic headaches, such as migraines, temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ), musculoskeletal pain, and spasticity. In addition to traditional therapeutics, he employs innovative treatments such as perineural injections, prolotherapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) applications. An avid tennis player himself, Dr. Barsoom has firsthand experience in treating and managing tennis-related muscle and joint injuries.
